About the event
Grounded & Growing: Soft Skills for Black and Indigenous Land Stewards is a 12‑month learning series designed for Black & Indigenous farmers, growers, and land stewards who want to deepen the human skills that sustain collective land work over time. Each monthly session weaves leadership development, communication, and wellness practices with the seasonal realities of tending land and community.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
Grounded & Growing meets once a month and follows the arc of an agricultural year, using land-based metaphors to explore leadership, conflict, rest, and visioning in practical, accessible ways. Participants move from cultivating self-awareness and communication to long-term planning and collective accountability supported by small peer circles.
WHAT PARTICIPANTS WILL EXPLORE
Over the course of the year, participants will:
Explore rooted leadership as service, self-awareness, and communal power beyond titles.
